Education

Tuusula has 15 schools in basic education for classes 1-6, one of which is for Swedish-speaking pupils. The municipality also has three schools for classes 7-9 in basic education, two co-educational schools in basic education for classes 1-9, a hospital school, and three senior secondary schools. In the autumn of 2009, the schools had a total of 5,744 pupils. The nearest international school is situated in Vantaa.

Tuusula is part of the Keski-Uusimaa vocational education federation, and the Social and Health College and Pekka Halonen’s Academy are located in the municipality. Keskisen Uudenmaan Music College (in Finnish), the Finnish Defence Forces, and the open colleges in Tuusula and Jokela also provide education here.
