Tuusula municipal library

Tuusula municipal library comprises four library units and a mobile library.
Main library is located in Hyrylä and branch libraries in Jokela, Kellokoski and Riihikallio.
KIRKES library network consists of Tuusula, Järvenpää, Kerava and Mäntsälä municipal libraries.

Lending and returning
The customers of KIRKES libraries may borrow material in Tuusula libraries or request material from other KIRKES libraries to Tuusula libraries. The length of the loan period depends on the material type (usually 1, 2 or 4 weeks).
The material borrowed from Tuusula libraries may be returned to any of the Tuusula municipal library units for free of charge. If the material borrowed from Tuusula libraries is returned to other KIRKES libraries, a transportation fee (0,50 € / item) will be collected.

Reservations and acquisition proposals
Customers are able to make reservations on any unavailable material. There is no reservation fee in Tuusula libraries. However, if the reservation is not picked up on time, the fee is 1 € / item.
You can also make acquisition proposals on material you wish to be added to the library collection.

KIRKES database tells you where to find books and other library material you are searching for. Library staff is happy to help customers with information retrieval and the use of library in general.
In our libraries you can use national Linnea joint catalog, bibliographic article database Aleksi and many other databases.
