Day Care Centres
Tuusula has municipal and private day care centres as well as private group family day care centres. Day care centres have groups for children under the age of 3, aged 3 to 5, 1 to 5 and 6 years of age (pre-primary education).
In municipal day care centres, early childhood education and care is arranged between 6 am and 6 pm in accordance with the care needs of the children. A written agreement is made with the director of the early childhood education and care on the child’s early childhood education and care hours.
Evening care until 10 pm is offered by Notkopuisto Day Care Centre and Roinila Day Care Centre.
Round-the-clock early childhood education and care is offered by Round-the-clock Day Care Centre Maininki and Notkopuisto Day Care Centre. Evening and round-the-clock early childhood education and care is arranged for children of parents who have a regular need for it due to their work or studies. When applying for round-the-clock care, both guardians must append a statement from their employer or education institution regarding the need for evening and 24-hour care.
Swedish-language early childhood education and care is arranged in Tuusula in Kievari Day Care Centre and in Kerava in the private day care centre Trollebo. English-language early childhood education and care is arranged in Kerava in Kiddy House Day Care Centre and German-language early childhood education and care in Day Care Centre Spielhaus.
Language-enriched early childhood education and care is arranged for children between the ages of 3 and 4 in the Kievari Day Care Centre. For more information, refer to the brochure on language-enriched early childhood education.
