Welcome to Tuusula
Tuusula is home for over 38 000 people and about 1 900 companies. The drive to Helsinki takes half an hour; to Helsinki-Vantaa airport, a quarter.
Hyrylä is the centre of Tuusula, at the southern end of lake Tuusulanjärvi. The red-brick buildings in Hyrylä are reminiscent of the garrison tradition. The valley along Tuusula-river, and Lake Tuusulanjärvi are the lungs of Hyrylä and significant recreational areas.
Jokela is the northern centre of Tuusula along the main railway line. It is a community constructed in garden-city style; its industrial history is linked with an old brickyard. Several lovely pools are a remnant of the brickyard tradition.
Kellokoski is a lively community close to the Lahti highway. It was constructed around an ironworks and a hospital along River Keravanjoki.
