Culture and museums

The museums of Tuusula municipality include Halosenniemi, Artists’ home Erkkola, the Klaavola local museum of history and culture, and the Tuusula Contemporary Art and Tuusula Illustrative Art museums that are located in the Kasarmi Art centre. The municipality maintains the death cabin of Aleksis Kivi, our national author, which is owned by the students' union of the University of Helsinki. Tuusula is also home to the Anti-aircraft defence museum, Workers' home museum, the Syväranta Lotta Museum for women's auxiliary services, the Automobile museum, and the Hospital museum located in the Kellokoski hospital area.
